Now that winter break has come and gone, second semester can begin another four months of long school days punctuated with weekends crammed with homework. Not to mention that tennis season starts in February.
Thank goodness that our school has electives that are only a semester long so that I switch the electives I had in first semester with some other ones chosen at the end of last year. So this semester I have an amazing class called studio art. I don't know if other schools do this something like this, but I'll explain it anyway: we have to come up with a plan of all the projects we'll do within a semester (six projects is the bare minimum) centered around a central theme and come up with due dates for everything, no teacher dictating what project you have to do and when it's due, but the teacher does grade you on the quality of your work.
I'm pretty proud of the projects and themes I've chosen, but I'm kinda worried that I may have bitten off more than I can chew. Most of the projects are time, work and resource intensive, but I've already made a lot of progress on the first project, and I may be finished with it by the end of next week, giving me a week's head start on the next project.
Here's to hoping I can pull this off without utterly trashing my GPA.

Art is the weapon agaisnt life as a symptom. Defend yourself. The aftermath is secondary.
